What is How to date a Sleep Paralysis Demon?

How to date a Sleep Paralysis Demon is a horror visual novel with a dating-sim frame and a very short fuse. You play Dust, who found instructions online for summoning a sleep paralysis demon and followed them anyway. She arrives. You cannot move. Staying alive now means either holding her interest or convincing her to leave — and the only tool you have is what you say next.

The story is compact and built for replaying. Your responses decide how the night goes, and there are seven distinct endings sitting behind a handful of choices, most of which take a couple of minutes each to reach. Some are funny. Most are not.

It is a talking game rather than a running game, so it plays very differently from Cobb Can Move — but the pressure is the same shape: one wrong read of the situation and the run is over.

How to play How to date a Sleep Paralysis Demon

No reflexes required — only decisions.

1

Advance the scene

Click, or press Space or Enter, to move the dialogue forward. Right-click or Escape opens the menu where you can adjust text speed and audio.

2

Choose your reply

When options appear, the one you click sets the tone for everything after it. Politeness, defiance and silence are all real strategies with different results.

3

Reach an ending

There are seven endings. Reaching one is not failure — it is one branch of the story finished, and the fastest way to understand how the demon reads you.

4

Restart and take the other path

Use the menu to start again and deliberately answer the way you did not last time. Two or three runs cover most of the interesting material.

Tips for finding more endings

01

Change one answer at a time

If you flip every choice on a second run you will not know which one moved the story. Vary a single decision per attempt and the branching becomes readable.

02

Read the room, not just the text

The art and the sound shift before the writing does. When the scene gets quieter, the next choice usually matters more.

03

Try the answer you are avoiding

The most memorable endings sit behind the replies that feel like a mistake. A run is short enough that a bad outcome costs you almost nothing.

04

Use headphones

Sound design does a lot of the work here. On laptop speakers the bedroom stops being uncomfortable, which is most of the point.

The seven endings and how to reach them

There are seven endings, and every one of them follows from how you act rather than from a hidden stat you can check. The game is reading the shape of your replies — whether you keep her engaged, push her away, or refuse to play along at all.

Because a single run is five to ten minutes, the efficient way to collect them is to change exactly one answer per attempt. Note the moment the scene visibly reacts to you, restart, and take the other branch from that point. Two or three runs will show you most of the range; the remaining endings tend to sit behind the replies you instinctively avoided.
